Tour of Frederick Holmes Art Gallery!

I discovered this excellent gallery during an art walk last summer and I thought it was one of the best galleries in Seattle! The owner, Fred Holmes, loves to talk about art history, art techniques and the focus of his gallery. He has a wide array of museum quality pieces and he concentrates on 20th Century contemporary art. His gallery introduced me to Walter Quirt, who has become one of my favorite artists! I have been to his gallery several times in the past months and we talked about art for 2 hours the last time! I also like the nice ambience of his gallery and it has an excellent location on Occidental Square in the Pioneer Square neighborhood in downtown Seattle. The address is 309 Occidental Ave. S. and it is a short walk from the Pioneer Square Light Rail station. After about 1.5-2 hours at gallery, we will have a late lunch at Darkalino's, a great Italian restaurant 1/2 block away across Occidental Square. The close location of the restaurant will make it easy to walk in the daylight back to the Pioneer Square Light Rail station.
