About us
MEMBERSHIP IN OUR SOCIAL CLUB
This is a group where any individual can join who are lovers of Art, Film, Museums, Social activities, and those who want to establish genuine meaningful friendships. If you are also feeling lonely, and want to connect with people, I want you to come out and be a part of our Social Club. Itâs so important for those who have a need to interact with others, but are unsure of where to go. I am asking you to take that first step and become a Member, come to an event, and I will help you feel connected. This Social Club is your safe space. I am planning to have our group come together at least once a month, to attend Art exhibits, to see Films, go to Museums, Exhibitions of interest, as well as other activities of interest, such as having a Member dinner, going to see the Opera, a group tour of New York City on power assisted bicycles. I also welcome ideas from the Members on other activities as well. All Members are welcome to any of the clubâs events, however, guests are only allowed under special circumstances, which requires my prior approval, otherwise, you must be a Full Member of our Social Club to join at the Events. All prospective Members must apply with their actual first name, no initials or corporate monikers are allowed. You must also provide a profile photo as well.
MUSIC: I have chosen the music by Tangerine Dream for our Social Club in the Video section. The movie from which this comes from is rather downcast, however, the name of the music piece is called, Museum Walk, which was filmed at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the La Brea Tar Pits. For those Members that care to listen, here is the link.

RULES OF CONDUCT FOR MEMBERSHIP
TO MEMBERS: NOTE: All Members that are confirmed on the Yes RSVP list as of 24 hours prior to the event, are expected to show up for the event. All events that require a fee to be paid, those fees are absolutely non-refundable unless the event is canceled. No Exceptions! If you need to cancel for the event, then please cancel no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the event. If any Member cancels after that time without a specific reason, then they will be removed from the Social Club immediately. You may re-apply for Membership. If you have RSVP'd Yes, and need to cancel for an emergency, you can do so by messaging me no later then one (1) hour prior to the start of the event. If you cancel for any reason other than an emergency after one (1) hour prior to the event, or just decide not to show up or message me, then you will be removed from the Social Club, and barred entry permanently. ALSO: No Member on the Waiting List can just show-up at the event without a proper Yes RSVP. That is completely unfair to all of the Members on the waiting list. If you just show-up to the event as a Member, and do not have a Yes RSVP, or are on the Waiting List, then you will be removed from the Social Club permanently, and barred from re-applying. I am very sorry to have to institute these rules, however, there have been many Members who have RSVP's in the past, and not shown up or messaged me, and also Members on the Waiting List who have shown up without regard for those other Members still on that list. If you want to belong to our Social Club, then please abide by the rules. Thank you for your understanding.
RULES ON NO-SHOWS
Please Note: After you RSVP that you are coming to an Event, you are expected to show up, unless you cancel prior to the start of the event. If you cannot make the event or just plain forget, and do not contact the Lead Organizer, then you will be removed from the membership and barred from re-applying.
RULES ON WAITLISTS & FILLED EVENTS
There will be those events that will have a limited amount of Members who can RSVP, and the overage will either be put on a waitlist, or the event will be completely closed out. If Members that have RSVPâd decide not to come, then those members on the waitlist will be moved over to the RSVP yes list. If you cannot make it, please take your name off this list, as it is not fair to the other members on the waitlist who want to come to that event. NOTE: Any Member who is on a waitlist or closed out event with no waitlist, and then decides to just show-up at an event anyway, will immediately be removed permanently from our Social Club. I take attendance at every event, and will know if you are properly RSVPâd or not. I am truly sorry I have to institute these rules, however, those Members who RSVP, are on time (within reason, and I do understand about transportation issues in and around the City), and follow the rules of this Social Club, I want to thank all of you for playing by the rules of our Club, which benefits all Members.
OUR EVENTS - PLEASE NOTE
You have joined our Social Club to be a member, and to take part in our events with other members. Members are required to attend at least one event every six (6) months, otherwise you will be removed from Membership of the Social Club. If you join our Social Club, then you need to attend an event. Otherwise, what is the point. This is not too much to ask. Our Members are a wonderful group of people, who are all looking to enjoy each event and meet new friends, be it at a Museum, an art installation, a classic movie at a classic theatre, or see architectural works throughout the New York City and surrounding areas. Again, if you cannot attend one event during any 6 month period, your membership will be withdrawn.
GUESTS AT EVENTS
Guests of members are not allowed to attend any event unless the member needs them to assist with a disability. If that circumstance arises, the member must contact me before the event so I may make a note of that circumstance.

## đ¨ Part I: Raphael: Sublime Poetry
We begin with one of the greatest artists in history.
Raphael, a master of the Italian Renaissance, created works of extraordinary harmony, beauty, and emotional depth. In a life of just 37 years, he rose to stand alongside Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, shaping the course of Western art for centuries.
This landmark exhibition brings together more than 170 masterpieces and rare works, tracing his journey from Urbino to Florence to Rome. Dive into the artistic process of one of historyâs most beloved and influential artists. A true titan of the Italian Renaissance, Raffaello di Giovanni Santi (1483â1520)âbetter known as Raphaelâmatched ambition with lyricism to create works with both intellectual heft and emotional depth, a necessary skill in the complex political landscape of Renaissance courts. In his short life of only 37 years, he achieved such profound success as a painter, designer, and architect that he was regarded as the pinnacle of artistic perfection for centuries after his death. Raphael: Sublime Poetry is the first comprehensive exhibition on Raphael in the United States, bringing together more than 170 of the artistâs greatest masterpieces and rarely seen treasures to illuminate the brilliance of Raphaelâs extraordinary creativity. The son of a painter and poet, Raphael engaged with the foremost writers and thinkers of his age in Rome, displaying a poetic sensibility that captivated his peers and generations that followed. Follow the full breadth of his life and career, from his origins in Urbino to his rise in Florence, where he began to emerge as a peer of Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, to his final, prolific decade at the papal court in Rome. To underscore the range of his genius, this presentation brings together important drawings, paintings, and tapestries from public and private collections across Europe and the United States, many of which have never been shown together. With particular attention to Raphaelâs portrayal of womenâfrom his use of nude female models for the first time in Western art to his tender depictions of the Madonna and Childâand recent scientific discoveries made using state-of-the-art technology, this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience the genius of an artist who helped shape the course of art history.***
## đ° Part II: Gothic by Design: The Dawn of Architectural Draftsmanship
We then step back in time to explore where artistic vision begins.
Long before the great cathedrals of Europe were built, master masons and artists carefully designed their ideas through intricate drawings and plans. This exhibition reveals how, between the 13th and 16th centuries, these early designs shaped the Gothic structures that transformed the Western world.
Featuring over 90 works, this exhibition highlights the imagination, precision, and ingenuity behind medieval architectural design. Long before the towers of Gothic cathedrals could pierce the sky, architects outlined their vision and ambitions by creating intricate designs. The Gothic era, known for soaring structures like Notre-Dame in Paris, produced some of the Western worldâs most breathtaking buildings. Their overall height, tall spires, pointed arches, and light-filled spaces were a striking departure from the more rounded and fortress-like features of the preceding Romanesque period. These innovative elements resulted from a new focus on the design process that is documented in original architectural drawings. Gothic by Design: The Dawn of Architectural Draftsmanship reveals how master masons and other artists began to visualize and communicate their complex ideas for cathedrals and other architecture-inspired structures in drawings and, later, prints. Between the 13th and 16th century, these little-known artworks on parchment and paper became a significant factor in the stylistic evolution of Gothic architecture and art at large. This rare presentation of more than 90 works of artâdrawings and prints alongside goldsmith works, architectural elements, sculpture, and paintingâsheds new light on the artistic choices and expansive knowledge that informed the Gothic building practice. Explore the vision, imagination, and skillful artistry embedded in the carefully drawn plans of medieval architects and other artists of the day.***
## đĽ Our Self-Guided Experience
This will be a self-guided tour designed with structure and flexibility.
All members will experience each exhibition at their own pace, while moving together within a thoughtfully guided framework:- We will spend approximately one hour in each exhibition
- I will be present throughout as your group organizer
- With a light, guiding touch, I will gently help transition the group from one exhibition to the next
This approach allows everyone to fully enjoy the art while still sharing in a cohesive group experience.
