Join us for a private, docent-led group tour at the renowned Tenement Museum, created exclusively for our Social Club. This is a rare opportunity to experience one of the museum’s most powerful and moving tours with just 15 lucky members.

Our tour, “100 Years Apart,” explores the lives of two immigrant women — separated by a century — whose stories reveal striking parallels in resilience, community, and survival in New York City.
This is an intimate, immersive experience where history comes alive through real spaces, voices, and personal stories.

## 🏘️ ABOUT THE TOUR: “100 YEARS APART”

Explore how immigrant women coped with economic hardship through the stories of Natalie Gumpertz and Mrs. Wong.

• Step inside the recreated 1880s tenement apartment of the Gumpertz family, whose primary breadwinner disappeared during the Panic of 1873.
• Then travel forward in time to an interactive 1980s Chinatown garment shop, where you’ll hear directly from the memories of Mrs. Wong, her children, and her co-workers.

Although they lived nearly a century apart, both women faced similar struggles as immigrants working in New York City’s garment industry.

Key questions we’ll explore together:

• How did immigrant women survive economic crisis?
• How did community networks provide support in hard times?
• What does it mean to build a new life in New York across generations?
This tour powerfully connects past and present — and remains deeply relevant today.
