## 🎬 FEATURED EXPERIENCES
Robert Rauschenberg’s New York
As part of our visit, we’ll explore the dynamic and influential work of Robert Rauschenberg, one of the most important American artists of the 20th century.
Rauschenberg’s connection to New York was central to his artistic evolution. Arriving in the city in the early 1950s, he became part of a groundbreaking creative community that blurred the lines between painting, sculpture, performance, photography, and everyday life. His innovative “Combines” — works that incorporated found objects, street materials, newsprint, fabric, and photographs — captured the energy, grit, and layered complexity of New York itself.
Rather than separating art from daily life, Rauschenberg brought the city directly into his work. Urban imagery, signage, media clippings, and fragments of modern culture became part of his visual language. His work reflects a New York that was raw, inventive, restless, and constantly transforming.
As you view the exhibition, notice:
• The use of everyday materials
• The layering of imagery and texture
• References to movement, media, and the city’s pulse
• How abstraction and reality coexist in the same space
Rauschenberg helped redefine what art could be — and New York was both his studio and his subject.
