Talk Abstract:
A reading group for the recently published paper: "Everyone wants to do the model work, not the data work": Data Cascades in High-Stakes AI. We will discuss data cascades - compounding events causing negative, downstream effects from data issues, resulting in technical debt over time when working with Machine Learning. I will illustrate these with problems we've been facing when training ML models for self driving cars at Wayve.
