Artistic Artifacts (https://www.artisticartifacts.com) at 4750 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, VA is the source for the latest “creative finds for creative minds” — no matter your medium, you'll find products, and techniques for your fiber and mixed media projects. Paid classes/workshops with talented instructors and special events are scheduled on a regular basis, and our shop is also home to the monthly meetings of Judy’s Altered Minds (JAMs), a free altered art group open to all who are interested. We’re an authorized BERNINA dealer and carry a full line of WonderFil Specialty Threads as well as a full range of fabrics and art supplies. - JAMS Meeting: a creative mixed media group!Artistic Artifacts, Alexandria, VA
Join us for Judy’s Altered Minds! (Note: there will not be an April 2025 meeting due to our Creative Minds Summit event)
Bring your fiber & mixed media show & tell; many members also enjoy making ATCs (artist trading cards) for exchange each month. The store opens at 1:00 pm for your shopping convenience (JAMs attendees receive a 10% discount on their purchases) and the meeting starts at 1:30 pm. New members are always welcome! A $3.00 contribution is requested at each meeting.JAMs members are art quilters, collage artists, art journal keepers, surface design enthusiasts, paper crafters, art doll/assemblage artists and more! All levels of expertise are represented, and all are welcome. During JAMs meetings, attendees gather support and encouragement for their art through show & tell and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded friends.

Ideal for the person who loves color and the distinctive look of hand-dyed fabric but doesn’t want to worry about preparing multiple dye solutions, or learning the science behind dyeing. We even start this in-store sale early for our customers, beginning on Thursday, May 22! Our Alexandria, VA store hours are Tues-Friday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm — plan to join us!
