Artists of The Met

Artists of the Met is New York’s largest drawing community dedicated to offering exciting and inclusive art experiences. We are a person-centered art collective, where the spotlight shines on individuals, amplifying their dialogues, profound insights, and distinct backgrounds, while using drawing as the medium to connect us. We propose conceptual challenges that help inspire creativity and form questions about what art is and how it can enhance our lives. We meet every weekend at different museums and outdoor locations around New York to look closer into our surroundings. The beauty of our group stems from its diversity of unique participants. Our guests are a mixture of designers, architects, lawyers, students, and teachers, but under the collective’s umbrella, they become artists.

We are a collective of artists who are based at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. If you've been drawing for years or want to draw for the first time we warmly invite you to learn from others and meet great people!

The Met is our home base but we also work at other museums and popular locations throughout New York. We offer support, open hearts, and listening ears for the creative experience!

*Almost all of our events are free so creative experiences are available to all those who seek them! A lot of planning goes into our events and they can grow into even greater experiences with the proper funds.
