GET INVOLVED!
The Artists Rights Movement (ARM) is building a national network to change public policy about art in America. We are looking for grassroots activist to educate the public and build support for artists' rights. This is a great opportunity for artist, art professionals, students, art enthusiasts, lawyers, and retirees to be involved in cutting edge art, politics, law, media, and government. ARM Volunteers will also have the opportunity to work with some great artists and activists. This is real grassroots activism. We will be working on the following:
- Starting an ARM chapters.
- Recruiting new members.
- Circulating the ARM petition (coming soon).
- Posting fliers and passing out leaflets.
- Building a website
- Educating people about artists' rights and the economic advantages of supporting the arts.
- Ensuring schools have artist friendly intellectual property policies. Some departments at universities are now supporting anti-artist laws that make it difficult for artists to earn a living.
- Starting a letter writing campaign to the President, Congress and Judicial Branch.
