About us
Arts & Rec Toronto is a laid-back creative hangout where people draw together, play games like gartic phone, watch movies, and occasionally meet up in person. Most of our hangouts happen online, with members joining from both Canada and the U.S.
Started in downtown Toronto in 2014, the group has grown into a fun, low-pressure space to create and unwind together.
Later this year, we plan to move off Meetup and onto Discord (and we may also set up an email list for anyone who doesn’t use Discord).

Online Life Drawing
·OnlineOnlineThis event is a great way to just relax, draw the human body and work quietly on our craft OR socialize with other artists. Sometimes we can be a bit chatty :)!
We'll start with 1 quick warm up video to loosen up our hand, and then move to 2 - 20mins long pose which will last throughout the event. This is really good for people who want to expand their figure drawing into a more detailed-focused study.

This is a social and friendly group so we kindly ask you to turn on your camera, we're all trying to get past being complete strangers here. If you don't have it turned on after being asked, you will be removed from the session.

Impromptu Sketching Hangout - 401 Richmond (Dark Horse)

We're doing an afternoon impromptu hangout at Dark Horse at the 401 Richmond building for 2 hours and then we're heading to the rooftop garden if it's nice and sunny!

Board Game Night

Reservation is under: RenatBring your own board games. The host will be bringing Nemesis or Agricola, based on people's preference (state in the comments).
Host games play up to4 (Agricola) or 6 (Nemesis), with host acting as GM if needed.

Harmony Cafe, 75 Nassau Street,, Toronto, ON, CACome join us for downtown karaoke at the Harmony Cafe in super trendy Kensington. If this is your first time, expect to make friends. 😊
Belt out your favorite pop songs, heavy metal, rap, musical theatre, or join in on the ensemble cast while serenading the crowd with boy band hits. We expect to go way past midnight, can you? (You don't have to lol)
The Harmony cafe has a variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic libations, cocktails, and baked goods so have a bite late!
This night your host is AJ - Make sure to get your name added to the list! Our Karaoke machine is connected to YouTube so song selection is pretty much UNLIMITED 😵 !
