The author drew inspiration from Mad Max, Akira, the 80's American action movies, and the illustration artworks from Frank Frazetta and Syd Mead.

It's over-the-top action, muscular characters and martial arts focused style deeply influenced the creation of Jojo's Bizarre Adventures, Berserk, and Dragon Ball, to name a few. It also left a remarkable impact on fighting game series such as Double Dragon and the Mortal Kombat series.
