Learn to play Mega Empires (aka Avalon Hill’s Civilization)

Happy New Year!

This year I’m working to build up a group of players who want to try some big games. To that end I want to introduce people to a new version of one of my oldest favorites.

Mega Empires is based on a game by Avalon Hill from the 80s called Civilization (and yes there were in trademark battles with Sid Meyer, but it’s and entirely different game) This game is best with at least 5 players although this version can support up to 18!

It’s a game of trading, negotiating, and empire building. While there is conflict the game is not combat driven.

The goal is to focus on introducing the game and we will try to get as far as we can.
