About us
Single? Play golf? Like to socialize? COME JOIN US AND SEE WHAT WE'RE ABOUT! We are the Hartford, CT Chapter of the American Singles Golf Association ("HASGA"). We're a group of singles who love to golf. We're part of a national organization, the American Singles Golf Association ("ASGA"). We plan many opportunities to golf from season's open to close! We plan our golf events on weekends (9 or 18 holes, your choice) and weeknights ("9 & Dines" - 9 holes followed by a beverage and bite to eat at the 19th hole or a local restaurant) for those who want to get a round of golf in after a long day at work. We also plan weekday "hooky days" a couple times per month. As if all that great golf isn't enough, we plan social events all year long! These include lunches, wineries, baseball games, picnics, bowling and other fun activities. HASGA also organizes and participates in member-only events, which are more structured and include the opportunity to compete with other chapters, win prizes and take advantage of some great golf vacation packages! Our Ryder Cup and Tri-Chapter events are always a hit!
We use Meetup as a media to reach folks like you...enthusiastic golfers of all skill levels who just want to play golf! All events will be listed on Meetup, but becoming a member of our group on Meetup does not make you a member of ASGA. You can join us 1 time for an event (golf or social) without being an official ASGA member. We hope that after you try us out, you will want to become a Hartford chapter member of the national group, ASGA. Memberships are annual starting from when you sign up. Golf events are held from March/April through October/November. The social events are held throughout the year.
Meeting others through golf is probably the best way to establish new relationships while having fun, and we're all about having FUN! There's nothing like a group of friends getting together for a great round of golf followed by dinner at a local restaurant. Simply put, it's a great way to spend your time. 9 and Dine at Portland West Golf Course
Portland West, 105 Gospel Ln, Portland, CT, USWe are the Hartford Chapter of the American Singles Golf Association (HASGA). HASGA plays 9 holes at the Portland West Golf Course in Portland, CT every Friday.
Portland West is a 60-par course consisting of twelve par-3’s and six par-4’s on a beautifully designed Zikorus layout. There are enough elevated tees and greens along with a variety of par-3 distances to ensure a challenging round. A trio of ponds and a series of creeks give Portland West some form of water hazard on at least half of the holes. The course is always in great shape. Pay at the course. Walk or use a cart - your choice.
We will have 3 tee times scheduled (first at 4:20), but we can always add more if needed. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to tee time. All those interested can stay for dinner at the club.
To keep our great relationship with Portland West and to allow wait-listed members the chance to attend, please change your RSVP to “not attending” should your plans change.

Westwoods Golf Course, 7 Westwoods Drive, Farmington, CT, USThe Hartford, CT Chapter of the American Singles Golf Association (HASGA) plays 9 holes at Westwoods Golf Course every Tuesday. Westwoods is an 18-Hole, par 61 golf course with a country setting located in the southwest corner of Farmington. The course plays long, but with a short layout it will reward good shots and provide a fun golf outing for those of all skill levels.
We’ll have 3 tee times (first at 5:30) but can always add more. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to tee time. For those interested, we’ll head over to a local restaurant (location TBD) for a bite to eat after the round. Come join other single golfers for a fun evening!
