About us
One step, one conversation, one laugh at a time.
That’s how reinvention begins.
Because let’s be honest — sometimes life doesn’t go the way we planned.
But that doesn’t mean we’re stuck. It means we get to start again — with intention.
After divorce, separation, or career loss, it can feel like the rug’s been pulled out from under you.
You’re not broken. You are becoming.
The Midlife Reinvention Community is for growth-minded people navigating big shifts like yours — or simply craving more authentic connection.
***
## 👥 Who’s it for?
Men and women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s — especially those navigating midlife transitions. You don’t have to be social. You just have to be real.
A quick note on connection:
- Women often have more built-in support systems, but they’re not immune to loneliness — especially in seasons of change.
- For men, social isolation is quietly rising. Only 27% in the U.S. say they have six close friends (down from 55% in the ’90s). 15% report having none.
This group exists to shift that. No pressure. No need to impress. Just a place to meet people who get it.

## 📍 Based in Northern Virginia
We host relaxed, small-group gatherings — over coffee, on walking trails, around dinner tables, and through seasonal events.
And when food is involved, it’s never just about eating — it’s about the flavors that make you slow down, the conversations that spark ideas you can use, and the shared moments that stay with you long after the plates are cleared. These experiences keep you grounded in the present while giving you space to think forward — helping you picture a future that feels stronger, more focused, and fully yours to build.
A few virtual meetups are also offered for those joining from farther away.
Entrepreneurs and action-oriented professionals also find this space helpful — especially those rebuilding their careers or exploring a new direction.
***
## 💬 What about cost?
Each event is intentionally low-cost but high-value — designed to create spaces where genuine quality connection happens.
That small fee helps keep the group sustainable — covering logistics, space, and thoughtful curation. It also encourages meaningful participation — the kind that builds real community, not just attendance.
As trust builds, members are often welcomed back for future events with occasional no-fee invitations — because community grows strongest through consistency, not one-offs.

## 🪞 How This Started
This began as a daily YouTube journey on Memorial Day — May 27, 2024 — a personal way to process midlife change, grief, and growth.
What started as one person’s reset has grown into a community that now lives across YouTube, LinkedIn, Meetup gatherings, and even books — a space for people choosing to show up for their next chapter.

Build Smarter — Grow Without Burnout | Career Pivot Lessons (Ashburn)
Location not specified yet# ✨ Real Founder Lessons for Builders & Career Pivoters (Ashburn)
Saturday, March 14 • 2–4 PM • Ashburn, VA
What if growing your work didn’t have to come with constant exhaustion? This entrepreneur-focused session is a behind-the-scenes conversation about how to build, pivot, and scale without burning yourself out — and without chasing work that drains your energy.
Whether you’re launching something new, navigating a career pivot, or rebuilding after a layoff, the principles are the same:
👉 protect your energy
👉 make smarter pivots
👉 build momentum that lasts
👉 apply AI practically to support smarter decisions and workflowsOver 12 years, I’ve launched 7 startups and side hustles — alongside 21 years in corporate tech leadership. The biggest lesson wasn’t scaling tactics…
It was learning when to pivot, how to sustain momentum, and how to align what energizes you with what serves your customers — an approach that generated revenue in my first full-time year without burnout.
A key part of that evolution has been learning how to integrate AI in grounded, practical ways — helping accelerate testing, decision-making, and workflow clarity without adding complexity.During this session, I’ll share real founder insights — including a live screen walkthrough — showing how smart pivots happen and what separates intentional growth from reactive hustle.
***
## What We’ll Explore
- How to recognize when to pivot — and when to stay the course
- Building energy-first systems instead of burnout cycles
- Founder decision-making under pressure
- Designing work that supports long-term momentum
- Why sustainable growth outperforms hustle culture
- Using AI strategically to support pivots, experimentation, and smarter workflows
This is not a lecture or pitch — it’s a grounded founder conversation for people who want to grow smarter and build work that lasts.
Expect practical thinking, humor, and takeaways you can use immediately.
