Second marriages do not begin from a blank page.

By this stage of life, many of us bring real experience into relationships, including lessons from a first marriage, children, different priorities, greater self-awareness, and sometimes a clearer sense of what we will and will not compromise on.

Why This Conversation Matters
Divorce rates in the United States are often cited at roughly:

  • First marriages: ~30–50%
  • Second marriages: ~60–67%
  • Third marriages: up to 73%

These figures were cited in a 2012 Psychology Today article and highlight a larger pattern: the likelihood of divorce tends to increase with remarriage.

That’s not meant to scare anyone. It raises a more useful question:
What can we do differently the second time around?

Because sometimes finding a different person isn’t enough. We also have to understand what we need to recognize, communicate, heal, or approach differently so we don’t repeat the same patterns in a new relationship.

So what actually helps a second marriage work?
And do men and women sometimes see the answer differently?

💬 This Men’s & Women’s Perspective event is a guided, interactive conversation designed to explore those questions in a thoughtful, grounded, and open way.

This is not a panel, and it is not therapy.
It is a premium guided experience where we will explore real relationship dynamics through small-group conversation, mixed discussion, thoughtful prompts, and honest male + female perspectives.

The goal is not to prove who is right. The goal is to better understand how people approach love, communication, trust, conflict, commitment, and partnership after divorce or major life transitions.
