Astrological Plant Walk
Details
Join us for an astrological plant walk at Asheville Botanical Garden! On this stroll through the garden, we will see what plants are present and discuss their possible planetary associations.
About the garden: The Asheville Botanical Garden is a 10-acre wooded enclave located at 151 W.T. Weaver Blvd, adjacent to the University of North Carolina Asheville. It features a half-mile loop trail through a natural setting that shelters approximately 600 species of Appalachian wildflowers, shrubs, and trees. There is free parking on-site, but the visitor center will be closed when we get there, so there will not be access to public restrooms, unfortunately.
For planetary associations, where applicable, a couple of reference books the organizer will bring are:
- Culpepper's Complete Herbal (attached free PDF)
- The Astrological Judgement & Practice of Physick - Richard Saunders (attached free PDF)
A great podcast that covers this topic (astrology, herbalism, botany, etc...) in depth:
In case of bad weather, we will pivot and have a social instead at Asheville Brewing Company - North Asheville (675 Merrimon Ave). The organizer will email everyone in case this happens.
