What we’re about
Welcome to the Asheville Inklings Book Club, a literary fellowship dedicated to exploring the works of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and their kindred spirits. Inspired by the legendary gatherings at Oxford’s Eagle and Child pub, our monthly meetings blend thoughtful book discussions, light-hearted creativity, and a shared love of stories that shape the soul.
Together, we’ll journey through classic works by Lewis and Tolkien, while also delving into other books that explore fantasy, mythology, theology, and the deeper questions of life and imagination. Each meeting will offer a mix of book club conversation and optional creative writing prompts, inspired by the themes, characters, and landscapes we explore.
Whether you're a long-time admirer or just beginning to discover the magic of Middle-earth and Narnia, all are welcome. Bring your curiosity, your favorite cup of tea, and your love of a good story—whether you’re here for dragons, deep theology, or delightful company, there's a seat at the table for you.
