Upper West Ridge - Walker's Knob - 8.8 Miles, 2460 Ft EG

Another one on the harder side of my usual hikes but we should have nice cool weather to keep us moving. This is a repeat of a hike I did earlier this year but we will go in the opposite direction and go to Walker's Knob instead of Graybeard Mtn. This is a rocky trail with some steep sections so please make sure you are capable of doing this hike. We should be rewarded with some spectacular views and hopefully the tailing fall colors. There will be some steep downhill sections. We will keep a moderate pace but stop as needed.

CARPOOL
Let's meet at the Black Mountain Ingles at 8:30 on the McDonalds side of the parking lot. There is very limited parking at the trailhead so try to carpool if possible. Use the Event Chat if you want to carpool from Asheville.
WEATHER
The weather currently might be okay for Monday but I'll watch the weather and post a cancellation message by 7:00 AM if there is a chance of severe weather or lightning during this time period..
