Here comes another appointment with Elvira, As Soup As Possible's centenary Italian sourdough starter.
I'll give you a taste of what sourdough can do and a bread recipe to get you started.
It all happens with a side of homemade food, good Italian wine, and new friends who share your same love for the good things in life.
Join our sourdough talks at Terre Lente, enjoy freshly baked sourdough bread, (vegetarian) food and good wine over aperitivo.
If you're only in it for the food, the wine, and the good company, you're just as welcome!
If you're after the baking challenge, instead, you'll lay your hands on your first Neapolitan sourdough starter and receive all the guidance you need to start baking your own bread right away.

I've been sharing my starter over a few giveaways every year. These happenings have always been a fun opportunity for home-bakers and novices to share their questions, experiences and recipes and I really look forward to meeting you on this coming one.
We'll meet up with aspiring sourdough bakers (and eaters) at Terre Lente, a colourful and cozy delicatessen shop in the Jordaan.
Luigi, owner of this homelike shop, passionate foodie and wonderful host, will provide us with the right "companatico" for my freshly baked sourdough bread, together with his quality wine and other products from Calabria, in the South of Italy.

Get a free batch of sourdough starter with which you'll be able to bake happily ever after!
To avoid waste, I will only make as much sourdough starter as requested, and a couple extra jars, just in case, so please remember to:
>>> Reserve your sourdough via the Facebook page Facebook.com/assoupaspossible, or send an email to the address on your e-ticket. The starter reservation is only valid in combination with a ticket.
>>> Bring a food container or a glass jar (medium sized, 300-400ml capacity) to take it home.
During the event I will be giving you a maintenance demo and sharing my maintenance instructions with you, together with an easy bread recipe.

- aperitivo: tasting of sourdough baked goods, baked by Angelica with Elvira; a selection of products from Terre Lente; soup, vegetable dishes and food bites prepared by Angelica.
VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY
All of As Soup As Possible Events are vegetarian (and partially vegan) -friendly. On this particular event, some cold cuts from Calabria - by Terre Lente - are available for those who do eat meat.
