APBC- The Republic by Plato Book I (Week 1)

Hi everyone,

With the rainstorms behind us (hopefully), I'm once again happy to announce our Meetup for Book I of The Republic by Plato. Key info below:

Where

• Judy and Punch located on 30th Ave. We will meet outside in their backyard unless weather forces us indoors.
  Note: Please come prepared to order something at the bar.

When

• Sunday September 14th from 2:30-4:00pm

Which Edition

• I'll be reading from Hackett Classics' edition titled Republic, translated by G.M.A Grube.
• For those still looking to purchase the text, I encourage you to checkout one of the two translations available locally at our very own Astoria Bookshop.

   Please note, I am also working with Astoria Bookshop to get our book on their Book Club shelf where purchases are 10% off but there might be some delay on this from my part. I will keep you updated!

Finally, while I did have to reschedule this event, I am still planning on organizing an event for Book II Week 2 Sunday the 21st to keep us on schedule.
