Code Puzzles: Let’s Sharpen Our Coding Skills Together

At Wix Engineering (Twitter, LinkedIn, Telegram) we love coding puzzles! Some treat it as a competition, while others love it purely for the challenge.

Advent of Code (see here) is a global and annual coding challenge, and every year our engineering community at Wix gets together for a great experience of solving the challenges and sharing our different solutions.

Now, we’re reaching out to every engineer in Israel who shares this interest!

Join us for this hands-on workshop, where we will start with a short introduction to Advent of Code - what it is, why you should care, and what’s the experience around it.

We will then share tips on how to approach coding challenges in general, and how to hone your tech skills, and of course - you will be coding and practice this important skill, as our mentors will be available to assist.

- Important note: Bring your laptop + charger with you.

Agenda:

• 17:30 - 18:00: Pizza, drinks & mingling
• 18:00 - 18:30: Coding puzzles introduction: What does a coding challenge look like, what is AOC, what’s in it for you, and a glimpse into the Wix code puzzle community experience
• 18:30 - 20:00: Hands on problem solving: Choose a coding puzzle from a list and solve it. Our mentors will be available to help
• 20:00 - 20:30: Show & tell**:** Puzzle solvers will show off their solutions
