NOTICE: After 14+ years meeting at Skinny Dugans, we need to find a new venue for our monthly Round Table discussion. Skinny Dugans is closing their kitchen and meeting spaces.
For April, we will meet at IKEA cafeteria (2nd floor). Venue is not ideal. Saturday afternoon table space could be a challenge, and location is too far for some regular attendees. A more suitable venue is being investigated.
The Atheists Round Table is a meet-up where all atheist-friendly persons are welcome, including the curious. We ask that if you are religious that there is no proselytizing.
Round Table is a topic based discussion. Topic will be published prior to meeting date. Topic suggestions are encouraged.
- Typical format is open discussion with use of a talking stick (a soft toy) that indicates who "has the floor".
- Other formats may be employed and explained if more suited to topic or group size.
- Please respect people's chance to talk.
- Resist the urge to interrupt, talk over others, have side conversations, monologue or monopolize the conversation.
Let's politely discuss the ideas put forth. If anyone is made to feel unwelcome or disrespected, please speak to the host.
This is not a political meeting. To respect attendees' various political ideologies, discussions of politics are discouraged and may be shut down by the host.
