LAS VEGAS PRIDE FESTIVAL!

Its that time of year again! Las Vegas Pride Festival is here!

As Humanists & Atheists of Las Vegas we are proud to support our local LGBTQ community!

We know that many religious organizations lag behind others in their acceptance of diversity. We also know that many members of our LGBTQ community have experienced guilt, shame and fear when dealing with intolerant archaic religious principles.
By participating in this event, the main goal for HALV is simply to celebrate diversity and proudly support our local LGBTQ community. We will rent a tent/table to provide hand-outs and information from several local and national secular organizations. We want to make our booth interactive and would love some ideas from all of you! If you have any ideas, contact me, or simply comment below.

We are in need of volunteers to come "human" our booth!!

Volunteer time slots will be for two hours starting at 10AM, 12PM, 2PM, 4PM, 6PM, 8PM. I will try to have at least two volunteers at all times. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt for participating.

In short: We want our LGBTQ brothers and sisters to know that the secular members of their community will proudly stand with them to confront discrimination, prejudice and ignorance.
We also want them to know that there are many valid alternatives to religion.
