Book Club - Wednesday 9/24- The Canon, by Natalie Angier

Our next meeting is Wednesday, September 24, 6:30 p.m. at Standard Pizza, 755 Biltmore Avenue in Asheville. (FYI come a few minutes early and grab some food or drink. In addition to pizza, they have good salads, and a variety of beverages.)

We will wrap up our discussion of The Canon: A Whirligig Tour of the Beautiful Basics of Science, by American science author Natalie Angier. We will focus on the last two chapters of the book, covering Geology and Astronomy.

Looking ahead, the next book we will discuss is Why People Believe Weird Things: Pseudoscience, Superstition, and Other Confusions of Our Time, by science writer Michael Shermer (meeting dates TBD).

Note: We would like to keep each meeting to a max of 10 people, because more than that gets kind of unwieldy. Please RSVP if you do plan to come.
