Athena IRL Meetups is a community for intentional, in-person connection. We host curated gatherings around NYC for people who want to meet others in a grounded, welcoming environment—whether that’s making new friends, expanding your circle, or just getting out of the online loop.
Events are designed to feel safe, social, and low-pressure, with a focus on good energy, mutual respect, and real conversation. Some gatherings are structured, some are casual, but all are centered on creating space where people can show up as themselves.
Originally rooted in queer community spaces, Athena IRL is now open to queer people and allies alike, while still keeping a strong focus on inclusivity and care.
