PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
These rules are intended to prevent anonymous stalkers and harassers from plaguing our group. Profiles that do not meet the following requirements will be removed from the group.
Your profile must:
* Use your real first name. (Exceptions can be made for privacy if you have a very uncommon or recognizable first name. Contact an organizer.)
* Last name is optional, but we recommend using the first letter of your last name, especially if you have a common first name. Example: John D

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
* If your profile has been inactive for more than six months, you will be removed from the group. This is to protect your privacy. You are welcome to rejoin the group at any time.
* No-showing to events takes up a spot someone could have used. It's not cool. Life happens to everybody, but just please give everyone the courtesy of changing your RSVP. If you regularly no-show to events, you will be asked to change your ways. Repeat offenders may be removed from the group. Extreme offenders may be blocked.
BEHAVIOR REQUIREMENTS

- Hampton Beach Seafood Festival/ Beach DayHampton Beach, Hampton, NH
Hello folks, lets spice things up a bit with a road trip to Hampton Beach Seafood Festival. I've attended this festival a few times and it's fantastic.
Wade Tours makes it easy to attend this festival with a bus trip from the Capital District. Other than the seafood sampling, there are many things you could do, walk on the beach, collect shells, swim(due to latent heat ocean is still warm enough to swim), relax, enjoy live music on two stages, play volleyball, finish that summer romance novelšcheck out the Ocean Boulevard merchants offering end-of-the-season Sidewalk Sales. Perfect for the obligatory small souvenirs for family and loved ones or yourselfšI've confirmed with Wade Tours that we have access to stow under the bus your beach chair, cooler, umbrella, canape, volleyball net, etc. As well as overhead storage for your lunch bag/snacks drinks during the ride. The bus is scheduled to make a brief stop at a rest area and there is a lavatory on a bus.
Celebrating 36 years of World - Famous Seafood at New Englandās Largest Seaside Festival! 60 of the Seacoastās top restaurants serving an abundance of mouthwatering seafood. Choose from favorites like fried clams, shrimp, and lobster (steamed, fried, or in a roll) to non-seafood items like BBQ Ribs, āBlooming Onionsā and sumptuous desserts.
80 Arts & Crafts vendors promoting locally made products.Continuous Entertainment on two stages featuring the top Regional Bands playing a variety of music ā Country, Reggae and Rock N Roll! These bands will keep you dancing all-day long!
Fun events for the Children
The most spectacular Fireworks Display of the Season!!A 200 foot beverage tent serving beer and wine and a Beach Cabana Bar featuring great bands in the sand!
The bus trip costs $79(event admission included) and that might sound a bit of an expensive proposition, and that's fair. However, consider the costs of $10 event bracelet entrance, tolls, gas and parking at New England National Seashores. Take Rhode Island for example, an out of state vehicle admission on a weekend to a beach would be north of $30.
You may choose to drive and carpool. It's your choice, let me know so we can coordinate where to congregate.
You must reserve a spot on the bus at the link provided below

Eat lightly before you go!The bus departs Hampton Beach shortly after the conclusion of fireworks. It's about a 4-hour trip, so you'll have plenty of time to catch up on your beauty sleepš We are expected to be back in the Capital District shortly after 1am.

Come Celebrate the Last Blast of Summer! - Adirondack Balloon Festival - celebrating 52nd Anniversary!Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Queensbury, NY
Folks I have great news, the Adirondack Balloon Festival and tentative Pearl Palooza are on different dates this year, therefore we don't have to choose!
The nationally - known event, the Adirondack Balloon Festival, is back this September 18-21st for its 52nd anniversary celebration!
The festival is a not-for-profit organization, which is very rare for an event of its size and stature. Funding for the event is raised by volunteers and the event would not be possible without the tremendous community support. For what will now be its 52nd year in 2025, the event remains open to the public, free of charge.
Today the event draws upwards of 100,000 people over 4 days. It has been named one of the Top 100 events in North America and have received accolades from the Weather Channel, Food Network and media coverage including numerous Associated Press articles as well as New York Times, Amtrak and Southwest Airlines.

Food vendors, Zonta craft fair, exhibitors, kids activities and more. The schedule of events including music performances will be announced soon. I will update.Admission to the event is and always has been free. General parking is plentiful and free as well. However this events draws thousands of people so traffic backups will occur.. Please plan accordingly, especially during peak times of 3pm ā 8pm. Car pooling is encouraged, since many of us will be arriving from the Capital District.
Let hope for crisp soon-to-be autumn air and sunsets that should make for an unforgettable experience!
Admittedly this will be my second ADK Balloon Festival, excited!
There will be options for hot air balloon rides, but they're probably going to be expensive...probably due to inflationš I couldn't resist that one!Optional
After the balloon festival concludes, we could congregate at Mean Max Brew Works in Glens Falls for a bit of socializing over food, drinks and friendly but competitive games of darts. The owners brew decent beer and also have some other brewers' offerings on tap and mixed drinks. There is no kitchen but you can bring food in from elsewhere and there are plenty of options of takeouts in vicinity.Hope you can make it and looking forward to seeing you there for a memorable time!
