We are a comedy writing group based in Atlanta, GA. Our goal is to inspire new and experienced comedic writers to write character-driven material. Whether your specialty is in screenwriting, stand-up, narrative shorts or other forms of comedy, great laughs often come from great characters and storytelling. If you’re funny and want to get funnier, or just want to hang out with other funny people, come join us!

August Filmmakers Mixer - Films From Last Meetup
East Pole Coffee Company, 255 Ottley Drive, Atlanta, ga, USAt our last meetup in June, we made two one-minute films within a week while following randomized prompts. It was an excellent exercise in making films quickly and writing (very short) films.
We had a great time and everyone got to participate.

If you are a writer, you can optionally bring the first 10 pages of your script(s) to swap and critique with other writer(s).
Let's gather each month to mix, mingle, and hang out with other creatives, industry pros, and newcomers to the Atlanta indie film community!

Beside the coffee shop is a co-working space with bleacher-style seating. We will meet and hang out on the bleachers. The co-working space is in the center of the small shopping mall, to the left of the East Pole Coffee order/pickup counter.
