Fear

Details
They've been around since before I was born, but I've somehow never caught these guys live. Let's go see Fear before Lee Ving breaks a hip or something!
I probably don't need to introduce Fear to y'all, but just in case: these guys are legends of the LA punk scene. Formed in 1977, they released their first single, "I Love Living in the City," in 1978 (that's still my favorite song of theirs), had an infamous SNL appearance in 1981 (at the behest of John Belushi), appeared in Penelope Spheeris' Decline of Western Civilization also in 1981, and released two awesome albums (and some okayish ones later). They spearheaded the LA punk sound in part, as well as the general bad attitude - just being mean for no reason - that punk of that era became kinda known for.
Saturday, 8/23, all ages, Masquerade Hell, doors at 7:00. I'm breaking my $20 ticket price rule for this event; tix are $38.90 plus Ticketmaster fees. Sorry, guys!
So far no bands are listed as openers, but I can't imagine that won't change. If I find out about any openers, then I'll add them here.
