75 Bennett St, Suite N-2, Atlanta, GA
This is an intense all day class in portrait photography. We’ll cover natural light, hotshoe flashes, studio strobes and modifiers. This particular class will have more of a DIY / Holiday theme to it.
Please note, this will NOT be a disorganized model shoot out. We may bring in a couple of models later in the day, but more than likely we’ll shoot each other to test concepts and process.
Starting at 9am there will be some classroom time going over the technical stuff. We’ll then start applying the knowledge with various shoots. There isn’t a set end time for this class. We will go as long as people like. The class will cover a variety of topics, but if you have any particular problems or questions feel free to contact me.
What you need to know before taking the class:
- a solid understanding of exposure
- using your camera in manual and aperture priority modes
- some flash or strobe experience is plus but not necessary
What you need to bring:
- a camera, DSLR or film SLR. One that has a hotshoe mount for a flash
- 50mm lens or something in that range
- a note taking device
These are some of the previous classes we’ve done at TPS
