Film Scanning and Archival Processes

Even if you no longer shoot film, you probably have a box of old film negatives or slides lying around the house. That film, if not properly archived, is slowly fading.

During the class, we will cover the operation of Epson 750 and Nikon 9000 scanners we have in the studio. Explain how the Silverfast software is used and calibrated. We will discuss the handling of the film, cleaning, and archival processes. While performing both wet and dry mount scans, we’ll also go over the common problems you will encounter.

If you never looked into scanning before, now is an excellent time to get started and archiving your film negatives and slides.
