Blockchain 101 Developer Class

This is a Developer 101 Bitcoin and Blockchain class. Beginners are welcomed!
We will have varied levels of difficulty based on the attendees technical competence. Even if you don’t know how to code we will still have options for you to participate.
Each participant will be required to complete certain tasks in order receive a certificate of completion. This certificate will be verifiable on the Bitcoin blockchain.

This meetup will run from 10AM – 3PM and will break for lunch between 11:30 AM and 1 PM. Please note that lunch IS NOT included in class fees.

GOALS:

• Create a Digital Signature with code
• Verify a Digital Signature with code
• Sending a hash to the Chainpoint network
• Sending a custom testnet transaction with Bitcoin Script (*Extra Credit)

• Signing a Message
• Verifying a Message
• Hashing a file and sending to Chainpoint Network

• Sending Testnet Payment with your own code

Please NOTE:
We may NOT get to all the material listed in the outline. We can cover these things at a high level. There are also methods of completing tasks in simpler ways. This is an exploration developer class and the subjects of focus will be highly dependent on who attends the class.

If you are interested in having something else specific discussed, please let us know when you register for the class, and we will try to include it.

When you get on Lenox Road you will want to take the middle ramp up then turn into Monarch Tower where there is a guest parking deck.
