Alpharetta Joomla Meetup

Hi Everyone

We have our final Joomla Meetup of the year tonight:

We're going to be dividing into two:

Beginners will get a free two hour intro to Joomla. The intro will be hands-on so please bring a laptop if you'd like to take part.

Experienced Users

Experiences users will get together and help with the Pizza, Bugs and Fun event which is helping everyone get ready for the latest Joomla release:

If you can code, there are bugs to help fix. Details on how to get set up are here:

If you can't code, we also need people help document and also just to test the new release and report any bugs. You can get Joomla 2.5 from here:

Both are great options you can either learn the Joomla Basics from a true Joomla expert or get some hands on time with the Newest version of Joomla.

Yes, it's called Pizza, Bugs and Fun so we will be ordering pizza for everyone. We'll order based on the RSVP count at 5 pm, so please tell us you're coming

Looking forward to seeing everyone there! -- Steven Johnson

Didn't realize it would be broken up into 2 parts, beginner and advanced. Got great information from both. Loved the teaching aspect of it. Looking forward to the next.

The subject of this meetup was very informative. I learned a lot about the capabilities and set up of Joomla. Thanks!

I liked splitting into two levels last night. So much more productive. I'm more optimistic about Joomla! Now.

Overall, I'm glad I came and I learned a lot. The reason I didn't rank the meeting experience higher is that, unfortunately, the computer projector had issues which weren't resolved until one of the two hours had passed. This was not the group's fault, it was a new meeting room and a learning curve for the room's technology. The good news is that the facilitator (Steve) will do a "Part 2" for beginners in next month's meeting.

I will be attending more meetings. I look forward to it.
