Speaker - Bruno Souza
Since 1995, Bruno has been helping Java developers advance their careers and work on exciting projects. A recognized Java Evangelist and Java Champion, as well as a board member of the Java Community Process, Bruno founded and leads SouJava, the Brazilian Java Users Society. In his book, "Developer Career Masterplan," Bruno shares insights on career development for senior developers, topics he further explores in his Code4.life project.
2 - Introduction to Cell Architectures
Modern Microservice and modulith architectures are based on the premise of (near) unlimited scale of the resources upon which they are built. While technically a well-architected solution can horizontally scale, sometimes you need to ask if you should.
Cell architectures provide a pattern for deliberately deploying multiple instances of your application, each serving only a subset of your clients, allowing you to meet non-functional requirements such as resiliency, availability, scalability, isolation, and cost management.
In this presentation, we will discuss the Cell architecture pattern, its benefits and downsides, and ways to adapt your thinking about application architecture as it evolves.
Speaker - Chris Curtin
Christopher Curtin is a software architect with over 30 years of experience in building software solutions, spanning various industries, including manufacturing, marketing, and advanced payroll systems.
