The more beautiful world our hearts know is possible is already here — already being born in the midst of cultural and environmental chaos.
The book by Charles Eisenstein:
“The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know Is Possible” may be well known amongst many people who are dreaming of a better world.
Kevin recently returned from a trip to North Carolina where he participated in two ceremonies with a church that uses plant medicines as sacraments for healing and spiritual insight and development.
He was deeply touched by this experience.
During this Sunday gathering, he will share about that experience and anything else of interest to those in attendance, including his work with Feldenkrais, Internal Family Systems, music, and trauma recovery.
His current Feldenkrais passion is to help adults rediscover the kind of joyful play that is our birthright as children before anyone teaches us to focus on performance, competition, comparison or status. He teaches creative play for adults as a path to exercise and healthy aging, and as a path to healing and wholeness for individuals and communities.
BIO:
Kevin was living a dream life as an accomplished river and wilderness guide, writer, and co-founder of a well-loved Anchorage community music center when he had a sudden upwelling of utterly destabilizing and debilitating feelings that were later followed by memories early childhood trauma.
This experience was so intense that it changed the course of his life, turning him toward doing whatever he had to do to understand and heal the profound inner pain and disconnection that had arisen.
Working with many healing modalities over 35 years, he has studied the ones most helpful to his own healing. He is a Feldenkrais practitioner, Transforming Touch practitioner, Internal Family Systems facilitator, Reiki practitioner and a facilitator for healing work with ethneogens.
He also continues to teach music, offering guitar, banjo, mandolin, and ukulele lessons .
