About us

The Old Grove
For those tending the flame of remembering.

Some souls seem to recognize one another before there is much to explain.

Not because we share the same beliefs, practices, or paths, but because somewhere beneath them lives a familiar orientation toward life—a willingness to listen deeply, to tend carefully, and to remember what can so easily be forgotten in the noise of the world.

The Old Grove is an intimate, invitation-based gathering for those who feel called toward deeper embodiment, presence and service.

It is also a place for those who spend much of their lives tending others to be tended themselves.

You do not need to be a healer, facilitator, practitioner or teacher to belong here. Service takes many forms. What matters more is a willingness to meet yourself honestly, to honour the sovereignty of others, to listen without immediately fixing, and to enter shared spaces with curiosity, humility and care.

There is nothing to prove here.

There is no hierarchy between the one who holds and the one who is held. We allow those roles to breathe and move between us.

Like an old grove, each person arrives with their own roots, their own seasons, their own relationship with the light. No tree needs to become another tree. And yet beneath the surface, an entire ecology is being woven.

Our gatherings are intentionally lightly structured.

We may share tea or food. We may breathe, move, sit in silence, explore embodiment, work with sound, spend time in nature, gather around meaningful conversation, share something from our own medicine, or simply listen for what feels alive within the room.

Some gatherings may carry a particular theme or offering. Others may have almost no agenda at all.

The intention is not to manufacture profound experiences.

It is to tend the conditions in which genuine connection can emerge on its own.

Here, those accustomed to holding others may be held. Those with something beautiful to offer may offer it without needing to become an authority. Wisdom can move around the room rather than belonging to any one person.

We are not gathering to perform wisdom.

We are gathering to practice relationship with it.

To tend the field we weave through the quality of our own presence.

This community is intentionally invitation and application based. Not because depth belongs to a chosen few, but because intimacy asks for discernment. Every person who enters a gathering participates in the field everyone else experiences, and care is taken to cultivate a space rooted in relational safety, reciprocity, sovereignty and presence.

There may be laughter here.

There may be tenderness.

There may be silence.

There may be conversations that follow us home.

There may also be evenings where nothing extraordinary happens at all—and we remember that being fully present with one another was extraordinary enough.

You do not have to be useful here.

You do not have to perform your wisdom.

You do not have to hold the room.

Come willing to listen.

Come willing to receive.

Come willing to tend what emerges between us.

This is not a gathering of people who have arrived.

It is a gathering of people willing to arrive more fully.

And sometimes tending the flame simply means allowing ourselves to sit beside it and become warm again.
