ATXS - Writers Workshop

WHO?
We are a collective of Austin-based screenwriters, from first-timers to seasoned pros—all levels welcome.
Actors are highly encouraged to attend. Table reads are a great way to get reps, and writers benefit from hearing their dialogue performed. Win-win.
WHAT?
A writers workshop designed to foster community, sharpen craft, and help screenwriters refine their work.
Each session:
- Up to 3 writers
- Up to 15 pages each
- Live table read
- Followed by notes + Q&A
HOW IT WORKS
Attending:
- $5 to reserve your seat (due by Monday prior to workshop)
- Covers room cost and ensures commitment
- No-shows will be removed from the group
Submitting Pages:
- All submissions go through this form:
- Submissions are scheduled based on:
- rotation (fairness)
- continuity (features)
- group balance

Bi-weekly Wednesdays @ 7:00PM

Walter's Tavern (Upstairs, small room)
WHY?

Even if you don’t have pages, come read—you’ll learn a lot just by being in the room.
NOTES:
Writers:
- Upload your script (max 15 pages) via the form
- Bringing printed copies is optional but helpful
- Upload Deadline: Monday prior to the workshop @ Noon
(Failure to upload by the deadline may result in loss of your slot.)
Readers:
- Bring a laptop, tablet, or phone
- Reading ahead is encouraged for stronger feedback
