Talks:
"Get to Production Faster with pre-integrated DevOps"
Organisations want to improve their development productivity and enable developers to iterate on code rapidly. With AWS CodeCatalyst - A ‘Low-Code’ Approach for the Dev Lifecycle, developers can easily save hours of their time right in the cloud IDE with an integrated experience. In this session, we will talk through AWS CodeCatalyst benefits, how it works and the demo.
Deepika Kumar is a Solutions Architect in the ISV segment in AWS. Prior to joining AWS, she worked as an architect with Vector NZ and HVR - a Fivetran company - helping them build and secure deployment of their workloads and products on AWS.
Ryan Tan is an Associate Solutions Architect at AWS. Ryan first started his cloud journey 3 years ago, launching an EC2 instance to train a machine learning model. Ryan has also held numerous roles working as a product owner, software engineer, and data scientist. His interests are data analytics and software engineering.
“ProactiveOps”
Engineering teams are adopting event-driven architectures with herds of serverless microservices. Why can’t Ops play buzzword bingo too?
Most significant issues in production start off as small problems that are overlooked or ignored. These small problems are usually can be captured via events. Those events can be routed to handlers that can react and remediate the issues.
During this session, we will explore what a “proactive ops” platform can look like. Areas covered in this session will include capturing events from SaaS products, event routing, building reusable, composable components, and the different approaches to dealing with policy violations. By the end of the session, an attendee should be able to start building their own serverless, event-driven, proactive ops platform.
Dave Hall is a recovering tech lead. He works with enterprises through to startups to build high-performing teams. With a cloud-first approach to automation, he focuses on time to first value. When Dave isn’t travelling, he’s based in Canberra, Australia.
We look forward to seeing you there!
