Split against a stripped 8-point
Details
A stripped point is when there are only 2 checkers on the point.
In the opening game if your opponent makes their 5 / 4 / 3 point then their 8 point is usually stripped.
It is common to split your back checkers when your opponents 8 point is stripped.
They will hesitate to hit you loose because it breaks up their important 8 point.
