Greetings Everyone - We are going to the South Island and base ourselves at Hamner Springs. We aim to do the Island Hills Station 2 Nights Walk along with Hammer Springs walks such as climb Mt. Isobel and visit some of the North Canterbury wineries.

Duration: 3 Nights at Island Hills Station, followed by day walks from Hanmer Springs.
Distance: Approx 15- 24km.
Difficulty: 2.5 on our 1-5 scale for day hikes.
Numbers of Attendees: 10 (Max.)
Costs - $625 each person for Island Hills Station - includes all food.
Car Hire - $300 per person
Group Breakfasts and Dinners (5) - $175
Alpine Adventure Holiday Park - Each person does their own booking - You choose the style that works best for you. Talk to other attendees.
Total - $1,100 (Approx).

We plan to stay at the Alpine Adventure Holiday Park - It's approx a 30 minute walk from downtown Hanmer Springs.

● Preparation is the key to having a good week:
Take warm clothing with you on the Mt. Isobel climb - it can be very cold at the top.

- Air NZ 558 - 04:00pm Thursday Feb 19th - CHCH to AKL

Saturday
11:00 - Arrive CHCH
Arrive at Island Hills Station by 17:30 for a BBQ and farm tour.
Sunday - Start walking by 08:30
Monday - Island Hills Station Walk
Tuesday - Final Day Walk at Island Hills Station - Leave for Hanmer Springs
Wednesday - Lewis Tops Track (3 Hours)
Thursday - Mt. Isobel, followed by a relaxing time at the world famous Hanmer Springs - Over 60's get a 20% discount - you also get a discount with an AA Card.

- It is safer and generally more fun to hike together as a group. We aim to do this with stops at all track junctions for group to regather.
- We aim to leave exactly on time, and we will NOT wait for late people.
