Street lamps blink on, casting warm pools of light as your footsteps echo softly in the hush.

Occasional bursts of laughter or the distant bark of a dog hint at life behind the high hedges. At the crest of Paratai, you pause to take in Rangitoto Island’s silhouette, dark and still against the horizon. Descending to Mission Bay, the glow of the promenade welcomes you.
