Hi all,

Jonas Felix is going to walk us through building a pipeline using Argo CD and a GitOps pattern to continuously deploy applications to Kubernetes. A short, clear and fun live coding demo of how simple yet powerful things can be. The session will offer a few hints and insights for experienced Kubernetes dwellers, while being a smooth and welcoming intro for everyone new to the field.

We also have a second speaker Marcel Medina joining us and he will talk about why general-purpose container images are not the future of cloud apps.

This event will also be available online - https://aka.ms/CloudNativeMeetupLiveStream

Jonas Felix

In 1998 Jonas got a Linux CD as a random gift, which pulled him into the magical world of open source software engineering. In the 2000s, he developed one of the first social business platforms (similar to LinkedIn) and built a profitable software company, which he successfully sold in 2016. Since then, he continues to be involved in new companies and projects as a co-founder, investor, or strategic advisor. His heart, however, remains in hands-on coding and participation in open source projects. Since 2016, he has been leading the training and coaching provider Letsboot, where he regularly conducts courses and workshops himself. Jonas traveled all the way from Switzerland to Auckland to speak at our meetup ๐Ÿ˜… (and also because Letsboot opened an office here).
