About the session
In today’s competitive job market, sending out countless applications and hoping for the best is no longer an effective job search strategy. This workshop will challenge you to rethink your approach and explore how to strategically position yourself to stand out from other applicants.
You’ll learn how to identify your unique positioning in the job market and effectively communicate your value through your CV and cover letter. The facilitator will also share personal observations about New Zealand workplace culture, along with practical interview tips to help you navigate the local job market with confidence.
Whether you’re looking for your first role in Aotearoa, seeking a career change, or searching for a part-time job, this session will provide actionable strategies and insights to help you approach your job search more intentionally and increase your chances of success.
About the Facilitator
Cindy Wang is an Employability and Careers Specialist at AUT. She is passionate about helping people build meaningful and purposeful careers while developing the adaptability needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world of work.
Before joining the Employability and Careers team, Cindy worked as a teaching assistant and workshop facilitator. She holds a Master of Business, specialising in Organisational Psychology, and a Graduate Certificate in Career Development. She is currently working towards her credential as an International Coaching Federation (ICF)-certified coach.
