Now what?

At some point in the past, presumably, you transitioned from an Individual Contributor (IC) role into a leadership role. Did you have enough training? Or indeed, any? Did you have the support you needed from the people around you, especially from the people you reported to?

This session paints a broad-strokes picture of what a transition from Senior IC to first-time leader looks like, covering topics like new skills that folks will need to learn, new roles they will need to play, and what you can do to help them succeed.

About our speaker: Ian Randall
Randall had 3 or 4 goes jumping between senior IC and TL before deciding that the leadership track was a better fit. He spent time in professional services roles at Gentrack and Datacom before landing a Product engineering role at (then) Spendvision, and never looked back. He spent 5 amazing years at Pushpay as it was breaking all the growth records, before taking senior leadership roles at Cin7, and First AML. He is currently VP Product and Engineering at Foster Moore delivering Registry solutions to clients around the world. He doesn't think people read right to the end of bios, he thinks talking about oneself in the third person is weird, but he does like it when people buy him a flat white.
