Practice Impromptu Speaking in a Casual and Friendly Environment

Join us for an evening of meaningful talks!

We believe in fostering heartfelt connections and personal growth by sharing our life experiences. Come along and practice public speaking in an environment where kindness and authenticity are at the heart of everything we do 💗

Everyone will have an opportunity to talk at every event. You're encouraged to take the stage and share your thoughts, you're also welcome to just watch and absorb the atmosphere, if that's more comfortable for you too.

🤔 Who is this for?

• Complete beginners who are keen to push their comfort zones and see what we're all about. There are absolutely no expectations in terms of public speaking experience or English fluency.
• Intermediate speakers looking for another forum to practice and improve amongst a like-minded community.
• Advanced speakers looking to polish their skills, experiment with ideas and approaches, and impart their wisdom to others!

⚙️ How it works:

1. Attendees put their name in a box to volunteer to take their turn and be given a random topic to talk about in front of everybody.
2. Deliver an impromptu talk on the given topic for 1-3 minutes (there will be a timer keeping you in check).
3. Receive immediate feedback from the audience. Feel free to request if you have an area you would like to have feedback on.

📍 Venue: Private room inside Panacea Bar (above Sophia Bar)
➡️ Directions: From O’Connell Street, take the stairs to the left of Sophia Bar. The entrance to Panacea is the black door on the right-hand side

🕔 Overview of evening:

6:15pm - Arrive, settle down, buy a drink, chat and make friends
6:30pm - Overview and introductions
6:45pm - Impromptu talks
8:15pm - Feedback and wrap up

🎩 Dress code:

Whatever you're comfortable in.

💰 Cost:

Event is free - although we encourage you to support the venue and purchase a drink at the bar🍹

🟥 Important reminder:

The spots are limited because we want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to speak and the group size stays comfy. If you RSVP "Going," your spot is guaranteed, but if your plans change, please update me or change your RSVP to "Not Going," so we can pass the spot to someone on the waitlist. Repeated no-shows may result in being prevented from RSVPing for future events.
