TIME OUT THURSDAYS - CHRISTMAS LIGHTS URBAN WALK - CBD & FRANKLIN ROAD & MORE

Seasons Greetings All..

Join us for a Time Out Thursday Urban Walking Rambles..on Auckland Social Events.

Tonight we will walk around the Inner City Parks and Reserves, exploring the side streets off Queen Street and get up close and personal , see lots of Christmas Lights Displays including in Sky City, and perhaps hear some Christmas Singing.

We will visit Albert Park alongside the Auckland University and Aotea Square and eventually see Ponsonby's hugely popular destination for Christmas Lights Displays on all the houses on Franklin Road before we loop back to our starting and ending Urban Walking Rambles at Queen Elizabeth Square.

WHEN - Thursday December 18th - 2025.

WHERE MEETING - In Front of the Large Illuminated Christmas Tree in Queen Elizabeth Square bottom of Queen Street.

Bring or Carry a hand held torch or Headlight if you want. We will be amongst the street lighting here after dark..tho some parks could be darker than the streets.

Perhaps come along wearing Christmas colours or wearing a Santa hat.

Look out for me wearing my Orange Shirt.

Fantastic opportunities for anyone interested in Photography.

Please note by attending our Time Out Thursday Auckland Social Events that any pictures or videos taken could include you.

Meet and Greet is 7pm.

Be sure you plan ahead to park cars .

Use the Toilets before you arrive. There's plenty of others on our journey.

We will aim to be finished by 10.30pm.

Please be sure you can stay with the Group for this special Time Out Thursday Christmas Lights Walk.

Distance- 6 km Circuit approx.

Level of Difficulty - Easy . A reasonable level of walking fitness required. Some short bursts of energy required to get up a few hills.

We will stop lots to rest and take pictures and talk about the things we see along the way tonight.

Wear strong walking shoes and warm clothes...perhaps carry everything you Need for the Evening Walk to keep yourself fed and hydrated
..in a small backpack or none at all. You decide.

No Dogs or Smokers or Children tonight please.

This Event is Free to Attend. However you may like to give a $2 Gold Coin towards the Meet Up Website Fees which has tripled it's Costs worldwide this year.

Getting There -

Catch the Ferry or Train or Bus. Use the Downtown Carpark on Customs Street. Fees are $2.50 per hour after 6pm.

Or add your Mobile number and Area where you live and contact each other for a Ride or Take someone else..
