Beginners Bush & Beach Walk & Kitekite Waterfalls at Piha

Hallo ...Ni Hao Ma..Kia Ora.

Join us this Saturday for some memorable walking moments at Piha Beach and later to visit Kitekite Waterfalls with Big Stephen .

Saturday 16th May with a 11am Meet and Greet at the Domain Carpark off Seaview Road in front of Lion Rock...Lookout for me wearing a orange Fluro Top on Seaview Road past the Shop.

We begin walking along the black sand beach north, go inland...visiting some hidden ponds, see the urban areas of Piha where people here live...then its a bush walk to see huge Waterfalls in the Piha Valley.

Going Inland we'll check out a hidden duck pond and some of the homes where people at Piha live away from the public.

This Easy Going Autumn Walk is perfect for anyone new to walking outdoors and hiking in Auckland.

With your Walking Host Big Stephen , we stop lots to pause and chat about the history here and learn something about the things we see along the way like trees and plants and birds etc.

Bring along everything you need to keep yourself happy outdoors. I recommend you wear a wool or thermal layer against your chest as cotton doesn't keep yourself warm in Auckland. Away from the sun it can be cold. A hat or a wool scarf is recommended.

Bring an Umbrella or Rain jacket. It's always going to rain occasionally now in Auckland.. Come prepared.

Bring your lunch and water and snacks. Carrying everything in a small backpack.

Wear strong walking or running shoes .

We are Meeting at Piha Beach in the Piha Domain Carpark past the Shop and Campground area. Entrance on left. Look out for me Big Stephen..wearing Orange Fluro Top on the Road by the houses on the right.
