“Let us follow the argument wherever it leads.”
— Phaedo 91c
“I know you won't believe me, but the highest form of Human Excellence is to question oneself and others.”
― Socrates

Is Stoicism truly the path to follow — or just emotional suppression in disguise? At our next meetup, we’re putting Stoicism on trial. Let’s challenge its core ideas, question its limits, and see if it still holds up under fire. If this philosophy is worth living by, it should withstand a bit of criticism, right? Come ready to question, defend, and rethink what it means to live with virtue.

Some questions will be prepared in advance although perhaps its better to “follow the argument wherever it leads”? I encourage you to think critically about your own beliefs, have fun, and enter the discussion on the day.

If we want to challenge it we need to understand what it is. Click the links for some simple and one in-depth explanation of stoicism to help you refine your own understanding.
