What we’re about

Our Peer Support group focuses on providing support to ADHD, Autistic, and Dual Diagnosed (AuDHD) adults. You are welcome to join us whether you have been diagnosed since childhood, are recently diagnosed, or just now learning without being diagnosed. Community is an important aspect of our healing process so we do not have to go it alone. We can connect with others who are experiencing the same thing as we are and help each other learn, grow, and thrive.

"Make life rue the day it gave you a yellow painted rock and called it a lemon."

This is our motto. It might be a little confusing, but the context is that when life was handing out lemons, it gave us a yellow-painted rock instead. When we learned we couldn't make lemonade, we had to find our own way to acquire lemonade. Sometimes by spite and anger, and other times by ingenuity and creativity. No matter what, life will not defeat us and together we are stronger.

There are a lot of emotions when it comes to our day-to-day experiences living in this world as neurodivergent individuals. We are here to help each other process and validate those emotions. It's ok to be angry, sad, and frustrated just as much as it's ok to be able to acknowledge the positives or cope with humor. Let's share strategies, coping methods, and learn from one another.
