About us

Do you like plants? Do you like walks in the park? Do you like where hard science meets ancient lore? Do you like exploring and discovering what edible, medicinal, and otherwise useful plants could be growing in your own backyard? Then this group is for you! For just $15 per person (free for kids), come with me to one of Austin’s countless green spaces and learn all about the human uses of both the native and introduced plants in central and south Texas, and come away with a new way of looking at the land the the things that grow on it!
