About the Session
Let’s be honest — getting from idea to production still takes too long.
Specification-driven development puts structured specifications at the center of the modern software lifecycle, creating clarity and shared understanding before the first line of code is written.
In this session, we’ll explore Kiro, AWS’s new agentic IDE, and how it transforms structured specifications into production-ready code. We’ll look at how this approach improves collaboration between developers and stakeholders, and why it represents a fundamental shift in how software is designed, built, and delivered.
As part of the session, the presenter plans to include as much hands-on content as possible. Attendees are welcome to follow along using their own free Kiro account.
You’ll gain practical insights into:
How specification-driven development accelerates delivery
Turning structured specs into working production code with Kiro
Improving collaboration and reducing rework across teams
Delivering customer value in days instead of weeks
