(Zoom coming on Monday afternoon!)

As has become a custom, this month will find us running our biannual Paytalk for the first half of the evening, and then we've got a guest coming to talk tips about working with recruiters.

Paytalk

For those unfamiliar, we are going to post a Google form and ask you to provide anonymous data about your compensation and a few other things. We will then disaggregate the data and look at trends. Over the last few years it has been very exciting to learn both:

  • Folks were able to obtain significant pay increases by understanding their value in the market.
  • Others, who thought they needed to leave a good job to make more money learned they were compensated in line with their experience and were able to happily remain where they were.

Please fill out the survey here: https://forms.gle/JsUstaU6DYZJP5F86

We've separated out the feedback form so we can start keeping the feedback to improve over time. If you want to provide feedback, go here: https://forms.gle/8yJQNM7JtN1mCf497

Remember that even if you cannot attend the more data we have the better we understand the market.

NOTE: We will, as always, destroy the survey data after the session is over to ensure maximum privacy.

We're welcoming Ari from JFrog to talk about working with recruiters!

Abstract

Your inbox is flooded with recruiter emails about that "perfect job"! Now LinkedIn is bombarding you with job opportunity Inmails, meanwhile, your phone rings continuously filling up your voicemail with recruiter messages that all the same.

How do you weed through this all of this noise, and choose a Technical Recruiter that has the ability to get you actual results and not waste your time?

Building the right technical recruiter relationships can be a positive part of your career growth. In this talk, Ari Waller, will share some helpful easy tips and insights on how to screen the recruiting traffic without burning bridges.

Bio
